Kaitlyn Nugent
CFO Advisor
Kaitlyn began her career as an Investment Banking Analyst on Citigroup’s Industrials team in New York, specializing in M&A advisory and capital markets transactions. She then spent five years at Blackstone, serving as an Assistant Vice President on the Corporate Development and BX Innovations Investments ("BXII") teams, where she advised on mergers, acquisitions, and various strategic initiatives including the firm's early-stage investing program.
During her tenure at Blackstone, Kaitlyn played a key role in the firm’s platform acquisitions of DCI, a quantitative credit investing firm later integrated into Blackstone Credit, and Clarus, now known as Blackstone Life Sciences. She was also involved in Blackstone’s corporate conversion, a transaction that unlocked significant value for shareholders over time. Through BXII, she deployed tens of millions of dollars of balance sheet capital in strategic, venture-style minority investments across the fintech, enterprise software, cybersecurity, and property technology sectors.
Most recently, Kaitlyn was a Vice President at a private equity firm in Atlanta, where she evaluated new investment opportunities and supported portfolio management efforts, gaining hands-on experience with smaller-scale companies.
